Sop's Arm

Approximately 4 km from Pollard’s Point and just 2 km from Main River Bridge you will enter the community of Sop’s Arm. This community is dependant on the fishing and forestry industries.

Sop’s Arm became established in 1955 with many residents emigrating from Sop’s Island. Today, boats can be chartered for trips to the island where
visitors can enjoy scenic hiking, including “the lower end” where excavations have revealed artifacts of ancient Indian habitations. At Open Head, view a sea cave that you can row a boat into at high tide on a calm day.
