Pynn's Brook
Pynn’s Brook is located 11 km west of Deer Lake on the Trans Canada Highway. The
first settlers of Pynn’s Brook arrived in 1930. In earlier days, the only way to travel here
was by train.
There were only four hectares of land
cleared for the livestock and the mail would
only come once a week. The peoples’ lives
changed when the highway was
constructed and they could more easily
receive their goods. Some of the people
maintain strawberry fields and grow them
for their own use. |
